When in Rome….I have spent the past few weeks(okay months) perusing a number of cross stitch blogs and I must admit a few have been fun to follow. I thought this would be a great place to record my progress and to blow off some steam along the way. I’m a little surprised there isn’t more blogging in regards to the frustration levels there are when we come across mistakes in charts or our own mistakes and all the frogging there seems to be on one particular project or area of a project. I will get some pics up soon of my WIP’s and hopefully learn my way around this blogging things as I go. I have quite a stash and proudly finished all my UFO’s I had for January 1…so I was quite ready for the New Year and have rapidly replenished my stash for 2006. I think I’m already at 6 kitted projects with two currently WIP. I have recently ventured into working on a Black Belfast 32ct. piece(The Good Huswife-Black Forest) and my eyes get pretty loopy even when working under a “Day” lamp. Quite the challenge and not too big to keep boredom at a minimum. My other piece is a La D Da(Love is Patient)…which is working up quite nicely.

- "Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire. It is a grand passion. It seizes a person whole and, once it has done so, he will have to accept that his life will be radically changed." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
- "Me thinks it is a token of healthy and gentle characteristics, when women of high thoughts and accomplishments love to sew; especially as they are never more at home with their own hearts than while so occupied." Nathaniel Hawthorne
- “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” -Rumi

I like to think of this as a virtual "hanging at the fence" and visiting with a neighbor...perhaps some days we'll just wave hello and other days I might spend a little too much time blathering about my transplanted Yankee life that is spent in NoVA living near the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in the Shenandoah Valley. Thanks for visiting. The Legal Stuff
