I allow myself one mental health day a year. Today was it. I just wasn’t ready to face the grind so soon after last week’s craziness. I call it mental health because I’m not really sick (although some people may beg to differ who know me)…I just need a day off mentally…thus mental health day. It’s like a victimless crime. I never call in sick so I have no guilt on my one day a year hookie.
My reward…a puffy envelope in the mailbox. Score! I got this which is by Primitive Needle and this by Plum Street Samplers. I’m on such a Halloween kick like I was last year at this very same time. I’m this close to finishing another Halloween project. Hopefully I will have a picture by week’s end.
Fall is here…Johnny is starting to get fuzzy and is shedding out the last of his summer coat. Most of the apples are picked, but the leaves have only just barely begun changing color. I like that snap in the air when it’s time to throw an extra quilt on the bed or drag out that favorite raggy sweater or an old boyfriend’s t-shirt under that great big sweatshirt. Nice.
Mental Health Day

Happy Mental Health day!!!
I love the *snap* in the air too…and you make me so sick getting that Primitive Needle design…I love that thing! I’ve wrestled and wrestled with myself.
Well I’ll live vicariously through you
Only one mental health day per year! I give myself one a quarter. Maybe there really is something wrong with my mental healt!
We all need some time out. I love the design by Plum Street Samplers, when will you start this?
