Do yourself a favor and read this perfect letter…and be prepared to snicker and crack up if you relate like I did.

- "Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire. It is a grand passion. It seizes a person whole and, once it has done so, he will have to accept that his life will be radically changed." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
- "Me thinks it is a token of healthy and gentle characteristics, when women of high thoughts and accomplishments love to sew; especially as they are never more at home with their own hearts than while so occupied." Nathaniel Hawthorne
- “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” -Rumi

I like to think of this as a virtual "hanging at the fence" and visiting with a neighbor...perhaps some days we'll just wave hello and other days I might spend a little too much time blathering about my transplanted Yankee life that is spent in NoVA living near the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in the Shenandoah Valley. The only good thing about getting older…no periods!
Oh, I didn’t just snicker, I laughed loud and long. My cats peered around the corner to see what was up. The funniest part? I have actually used the phrase “yank out my uterus” on occassion… oh, okay, every month. Thanks for posting that!!
I’m a bit behind in my blog reading, but I have to thank you for a much needed laugh. I was cracking up and had to do an end run to keep my 11 year old son from reading what was so funny to me on the eve of my dad’s funeral by telling him that he “wouldn’t understand, it’s a woman thing.”
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
